VISION
‘To collectively contribute towards Nation Building through Holistic Development of Society’

Free Plastic Surgery Camp

1.] A Social Need not Cosmetic surgery.
2.] Conducted by Dr. Sharadkumar Dicksheet, MD practicing in USA.
3.] Involved in this work since 1985 and has performed over 1,02,000 surgeries.
4.] Organising Free Camps each year at 20 to 30 places in Maharashtra for benefiting patients.
5.] Surgeries on cleft lip, cleft palate and squint for the poor and needy free of cost.
6.] Surgeries done for infants, children & young adolescents and girls are mostly benefited.

Background
Dr Dicksheet was born on 13 December, 1930 at Pandharpur, Maharashtra. In 1951 he completed his graduation & completed MBBS degree in 1956 from-Nagpur and got an opportunity from Indian Medical Council to undergo higher education in USA., He specialized in plastic surgery from 1958-1963.
In 1976 members from BJS met Dr. Sharadkumar Dicksheet at Aurangabad. While in the discussion on social awareness programs conducted by these members, Dr Dicksheet offered his services and conceptualized the methodology of conducting Free Plastic Surgery camps for the economically backward. .....Continuation
