Shri P.C. Nahar retired as an Executive Director from Bajaj Auto, Pune. After retirement, he decided not to work for money. As a BJS trustee, he is currently responsible for the governance of educational institutions run by BJS at Wagholi and Pimpri, in Pune. Also associated with voluntary medical associations, working to create health awareness about arthritis; as well as bone and joint diseases.

Though an electrical engineer by training, Shri Nahar is known in corporate management as a multi-disciplinary professional. During 1975-80 while with Bajaj Auto, Shri Nahar raised a combined memorial to Gandhiji, Vinobaji and Jamnalal Bajaj, called Geetai Mandir at Wardha in Maharashtra. The "Geetai" written by Vinobaji is engraved here on 18 different varieties of stone, of which the memorial is made. He remembers this project as a unique achievement, which gave him "much spiritual satisfaction."

Educational Qualifications: B.Sc. (Engineering), Benares Hindu University, 1954.

Selected by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), he attended a Special Program in Steel-making, Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pittsburgh, USA, 1957-58. Also attended senior management programs at the All India Management Association, 1983; and at the Administrative Staff College, Hyderabad.

He served as Director of a company making ayurvedic medicines in 1966-68 (formerly Deccan Ayurvedic Pharmacy Ltd); toiletries (Ayurved Sevashram, located at Udaipur, Benares, Hyderabad)

Began his career with Bajaj Electricals (1954-57), then known as Radiolamp Works Ltd;
His major stint was as assistant foreman and up to general foreman at Durgapur Steel Plant during 1958-65;
Then again at Bajaj Electricals (1965-70), of which two years on loan to another Bajaj company; and additional charge of Matchwel India Ltd, Wadgaon Sheri, 1979-80.

Served as administrative manager and up to Executive Director, Bajaj Auto (1970-93); responsible for setting up the greenfield plant of Bajaj Auto at Waluj, Aurangabad, Maharashtra during 1983-87, within 16 months; promoted in 1987 as executive director and retired in 1993.

He has been associated with Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana (since 2006) at the Wagholi and Pimpri institutions.
