Known
as the protégé of Shri Shantilalji Muttha, Shri Prafullaji
Sampatlalji Parakh has travelled across the length and breadth of the
country to implement various social development and public service programmes
of the BJS and FJEI: social development, disaster management and education.
Having
stayed in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands after the Tsunami of 2004,
he is recognised as having led the reconstruction of 11 school buildings
and 34 hospital buildings in inaccessible terrain within one year.
His special
interests include vadhu-var parichay sammelans; career guidance, personality
development; and "Choosing the Right Life Partner" (six-month
course of counselling for unmarried Jain girls).

Disaster
management:
educational rehabilitation of 50 boys, Jabalpur earthquake (1996);
educational rehabilitation of 328 tribal boys, Melghat malnutrition project
(1997);
reconstruction of 368 schools, Gujarat earthquake (2001);
shelter for 8,000 persons, Akola floods (2003);
reconstruction of 11 school buildings and 34 hospital buildings in
inaccessible terrain within one year, Tsunami, Andaman & Nicobar Islands
(2005);
reconstruction of 870 shelters for 15,000 persons, using pre-fab
material from the Gujarat rehab project; educational rehab of 500 boys;
Jammu & Kashmir earthquake (2005).

Conducted over 1,500 interviews at sammelans for match-making;
